#HMB 228: Going Green, MAAAANNNNNNNNNNN with Nick Garulay from My Florida Green
I friggin lost it. I think I have a fairly good grip on my emotions. I can usually stop and think about things, try to handle it as rationally as possible. Not this time; I flew into a full blown screeching rage. I'm in the shower, all soaped up and the god damn tension bar holding up the shower curtain fell. I put it back up and it fell again. I can't twist to adjust the bar because I'm all covered in soap. The bathroom floor is a swimming pool now. I take the bar and slam it into the wall so hard it's bent at a 45 degree angle now. It's broken, I have to go buy a new one. I used to smoke a lot of pot in my early 20's and it really did help me with my anxiety, anger and overall emotional state. It was too good. Life was a big giant cloud and it couldn't do much to affect me negatively because I was stoned most of the time. I abused it, I think. I gave it up because I wanted to feel life pushing down on my a bit and I started to work for things I wanted and goals I wanted to pursue. I'm certainly not against pot but for me, I'm lazy when I use marijuana. It's something I'd like to come back to in the future for sure but I need to get to where I'm going first. It makes movies and sex exponentially even better at bare minimum. There's more to it though than just that. I've seen people in my family use it for medical reasons and it dramatically improved their life for the better. This week we're talking to Nick Garulay from MyFloridaGreen to talk about Medical Marijuana in Florida, innovation and misconceptions:
